CILTER Newsletter 2(2) is published!
Dear IELLI Staff, Students and Friends of CILTER,
As we move into February, this issue brings together a set of updates that highlight the momentum, creativity and scholarly commitment across our community. From new publications and media features to international collaborations and professional learning opportunities, the work shared here reflects the many ways colleagues continue to shape language education and research in thoughtful, practice‑informed ways.
We are pleased to spotlight the St Andrews Professorial Masterclass on AI in Language Learning and Teaching, which opened on the 1st of February and is now welcoming its March intake. Alongside this, we celebrate a series of achievements from our colleagues, including new articles, invited talks, open‑peer‑reviewed publications and national media coverage, each contributing to wider conversations in applied linguistics and professional practice.
This issue also highlights the strength of our community networks – through the Japan Cohort Community of Practice and international partnerships such as the recent Winter School in Suzhou – reminding us of the importance of connection, belonging and shared global learning.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this issue and to all who continue to support and enrich the work of CILTER.
Best regards,
Missy & Sin‑Wang
