Vision
CILTER aspires to be a hub for researchers, professionals, and policymakers who are involved in international, language and teacher education to engage in and showcase community-engaged scholarly and consultancy activities.
Objectives
- Foster researcher-practitioner partnership on Edu-X research (interdisciplinary and interprofessional research) on language and international education at all levels (early years, primary, secondary, further, and higher education), as well as on teacher education (initial teacher education, continuous professional development)
- Support PG student development, community building, and provide valuable transferable skills to help with career progression
- Create networking and scholarly exchange opportunities for researchers and practitioners involved in international, language, and teacher education
- Translate, curate, and disseminate research findings to support practitioners working in international, language, and teacher education
Postgraduate programmes
The International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute , where CILTER is based, offers a range of postgraduate programmes on language education, international education, and digital education. Programmes are designed and delivered by experienced lecturers who embrace the ethos of Edu-X research and have rich and diverse academic and professional experiences in their own area.
