Dear IELLI Staff, Students and Friends of CILTER,

This issue brings together a range of updates from across our community. From upcoming events and webinars to new publications, conference activities and growing networks, the items here reflect the thoughtful work taking place within IELLI and CILTER.

We are pleased to share the call for proposals for the University of St Andrews EAP Practitioners Conference 2026, which this year invites colleagues to reflect on what EAP professionalism looks like in changing higher‑education contexts. We also highlighted the recent CILTER Teacher Education Thematic Hub webinar, which explored sociocultural approaches to CALL teacher education through insights from virtual exchange and school‑based programmes.

This issue includes several achievements and contributions from colleagues – from SAJILE’s presence at AAAL 2026 to invited talks, international ESP events and new publications on AI, assessment and language learning strategies. We also feature ongoing community initiatives such as the DProf GCC Network, which continues to strengthen connections across the Gulf region.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this issue and to all who continue to support and enrich the work of CILTER.

Best regards,
Missy
